Marlyn J. Mauk

FARMINGTON - Marlyn J. Mauk of Farmington, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 95. She was born February 11, 1927 in Flat River to the late Clarence Everesto Thomas and Elba Marie (Hulsey) Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold James Mauk in 2010; three brothers, and three sisters, Darrell D. Thomas, Paul E. Thomas and Gary D. Thomas, Beulah B. (Thomas) Mauk, Eula M. (Thomas) Gruhala and Helen L. (Thomas) Govreau. Marlyn was a life long resident of the area and enjoyed family genealogy and community history to a great extent. Through the years she had many hobbies and recreational activities, such as bowling, water skiing, sewing and more recently spending cherished time with her precious family and friends. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include five children, Ronald Lynn Wampler and wife, Kay, of Park Hills; Harold Stephen Mauk and wife, Janice, and Lana Wampler, all of Farmington, Marqueta A. Bryson of Fredericktown and Sharon Mauk of the state of Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Traci M. Black, Lisa Ann (Mike) Sumpter, Shannon Parson, Chad Dugge, Leslie D. (Travis) Crocker, Justin J. (Amber) Wampler, Steven W. (Arlene) Mauk and William S. (Annie) Mauk; nineteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren; and a sister, Madonna Ransom of Farmington. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Cozean Memorial Chapel beginning at 5 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment at Parkview Cemetery will be private.
