Mark Kellogg

January 14, 1955 — December 9, 2024

On Monday, December 9, 2024, Mark Thurston Kellogg of Farmington, Missouri, passed away at the age of 69. Mark’s presence lit up every room, and his legacy of kindness, dedication, and joy will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and community.

Mark will be lovingly remembered by his family: Theresa; his sons, Connor and Kevin, who were the pride and joy of his life; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Donna Kellogg, Greg and Della Kellogg; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and Lynda Wyse; and his many adored nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Dolores Kellogg, who no doubt greeted him with open arms.

Born on January 14, 1955 in Conrad, Montana, Mark grew up immersed in the rugged beauty of the family farm, where he developed a lifelong love of the outdoors. Whether fly fishing in a quiet stream, camping under the stars, or carving ski trails down snowy slopes, Mark’s soul was most alive in nature. Mark deeply valued the lifelong bonds he formed with his high school classmates and fraternity brothers, whose camaraderie and shared memories became a source of enduring friendship. After graduating from Montana State University, he pursued a career as a nurse anesthetist, combining his sharp mind with a heart full of compassion. His patients often remarked on his gift for putting them at ease with his kind bedside manner, a trait admired by colleagues and loved ones alike.

Mark’s greatest joy was his family. A devoted father, he never missed a moment to support his sons, whether it was cheering them on at sporting events, capturing precious memories with his camera, or welcoming their friends into his warm and lively home. His love and unwavering presence left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Raised in the small town of Conrad, Montana, Mark found a second home in Farmington, Missouri. He embraced the community wholeheartedly, serving on the City Council for a decade and as an active member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. As a Knight of Columbus, he was a tireless volunteer, bringing his trademark humor and culinary skills to countless parish events, especially the annual fish fries. A master of the grill, Mark's legendary BBQ brought family and friends together, creating cherished memories over perfectly smoked meats and hearty laughter.

Mark’s generous spirit, quick wit, and open heart made him a beloved friend and neighbor. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
