Mark Edward Bennett Sr.

IRONDALE Mark Edward Bennett Sr., of Irondale, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2022, at his home in Irondale at the age of 60. He was born on November 26, 1961, in Dodge, City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraline (Morris) Roberts, his sons, Michael Bennett and Mark Bennett, Jr., his grandparents, Eliza Mae Morris and Ernest Morris, and his sister, Karen Bennett. Mark is survived by his children, David Cook, Shawn Bennett, Justin Bennett, Joseph Bennett, Gary (Scott Buttrey) Bennett, and Johnny (Jacqueline Lique) Bennett, his grandchildren, Autumn, Josh, Collin, Jolie, Aiden, Aryanna, Paytton, Johnny, Alia, Gaberial, and Star, a great granddaughter to be, Liliana, his sisters, Kimberly Brand Shell, Kristi Roberts McClenithan, Kathy (Ernest) Conway, his brother, Damon Brand, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mark was raised in Des Arc, Missouri and spent the remainder of his life in St. Francois County. He spent his life raising and supporting his family. He was an easy going, kind, and loving father and grandfather. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and being outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends, but we have comfort knowing that he was reunited with his sister, mother, and two sons. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Adams Hillcrest Cemetery in Bonne Terre.
