Mariedta June Presson

PARK HILLS Mariedta June Presson of Park Hills passed away in her home on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the age of 77. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on November 21, 1938 to the late Curtis and Lola (Lawson) Jamison. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Presson in 2001; a son, William Eugene Slade; two sisters, Betty McFarland and Sally Boyer; a brother, Melvin Lawson and a sister-in-law, Jane Lawson.

"Rita" as most knew her, liked to laugh and cut up with her friends. She was an avid Bingo player and at one time she enjoyed going camping and fishing. She loved her little chihuahua, Diablo, who was her constant companion for many years. Rita was a former member of the Amvets Auxilliary.

Survivors include her sons, Harold Slade, Terry Slade and Curtis Petrie; daughters, Kathy (Ed) Tenholder and LaDonna (Norris) Blair; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Loretta Blackwell and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the service time beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Deacon Theron Harder officiating.
