FARMINGTON Marianne Ikemeier-Stout, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on December 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 64. She was born on May 7, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Charles and Geraldine (Kohlberg) Ikemeier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Charlie Harbison. Mari is survived by her husband of 18 years, Kendall Stout, her children, Jennefer (Chad) Marler of Farmington, Cynde (Keith) Harbison of Belgrade, Steven (Holly) Smith of Farmington, and Brian Smith of Farmington, her grandchildren, Whitney Marler, Hayden Todd, Korban Smith, Kinsley Smith, and Olivia Smith, her siblings, Mark (Kathy) Kipper of St. Louis, Richard (Carina) Ikemeier of Fredericktown, Joanne (the late Scott) Robertson of Shelbyville, KY, Eddie (Paulette) Ikemeier of Farmington, David (Lisa) Ikemeier of Farmington, and Kenny Ikemeier, and her special uncle, Adrian Kohlberg of St. Marys. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, her special canine companion, Cleopatra, her stepchildren, Matthew (Denise) Stout, Jessica (Randy) Take, and Bethany Stout and her step grandchildren Sawyer Stout, Sander Stout, Carter Stout, and Caitlyn Stout. Marianne, also known as "Maw Maw Flower Shop" by her grandchildren, graduated from Floral Design School in Dallas, Texas in 1984. On October 15, 1984, she started Ikes Country Bouquet Florist with her mother, Geraldine in a shop in downtown Farmington. As the business grew, they moved to Hillsboro Road and were at that location for eight years. Upon the passing of Geraldine, the name was then shortened to Ikes Florist and moved to a location on Karsch Boulevard in 2011. Mari faithfully operated Ikes Florist for 39 years, until her illness forced her to give up the career she passionately ran. Mari was always a defender of the underdog, was a fierce protector of her family and adored her grandkids. She had a big heart who always gave to others in need. She also had a special place in her heart for the elderly. She was a dedicated supporter of the Farmington Elks Lodge. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. She always looked forward to her annual trip every year on their anniversary which Kendall treated her to. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Reverend Michael Haney. Private inurnment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
