Marguerite Cook

Doris Edwana Marguerite Loy Cook of St. Louis, formerly of Farmington and Webster Groves, passed away on July 15, 2009, at the age of 81 years. She was born on November 1, 1927 in Long Beach, CA, daughter of the late Edgar Monfort and Rosa Theresa (Plumb) Loy. She was the beloved wife for 60 years of the late Forrest W. Cook. She was also preceded in death by her son, Matthew Cook, grandson John Taliaferro, and sisters, Eileen Kain, Verla Everett, Rita Cramer, and Jo Ann Moynagh. Marguerite is survived by her three cherished daughters, Jo (John) Hedges of Florida, Judy (David) Taliaferro of Colorado, Becky (Ron) Krueger of St. Louis, her three adored grandchildren, Will (Cheri) Taliaferro of Idaho, Mary Krueger of St. Charles, Katie Krueger of St. Louis, her precious great-grandson, Jack Taliaferro of Idaho, brothers-in-law, Edward Moynagh of California, Edwin Cramer of Colorado, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Marguerite was a loving and devoted mother, mother-in-law, adored gramma, and friend to many. She was a resident of Friendship Village of South County, and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2009 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Pauls United Church of Christ, 5508 Telegraph Rd., St. Louis, MO 63129. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with Pastor Keith Karau officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society, or St. Pauls UCC, Heritage Room Fund, 5508 Telegraph Rd., St. Louis, MO 63129.
