Margaret Sue Barth

August 5, 1943 — March 16, 2022

FARMINGTON Margaret Sue Barth, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on March 16, 2022, at Baisch Nursing Home in De Soto at the age of 78. She was born on August 5, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Paul and Glenda (Meador) Polete. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou Fleck and her brother-in-law, Anthony "Tony" Barth. Margaret is survived by her children, Elizabeth "Shelly" (Tim) Thomure of Farmington, Julie (Danny) Nicholson of Doe Run, and Christopher "Brian" Barth of Farmington, her grandchildren, Chelsea (Wyatt) Walters, Timothy "Cole" (Paige) Thomure, Carlee Thomure, William "Carson" Thomure, Cody Nicholson, Courtney Nicholson, Jimmy Nicholson and his children, Maggie Lee Barth, and Christopher "Chipper" Barth, her great grandchildren, Will and Waylon Walters, her siblings, Pete (Linda) Polete from Murphysboro, IL and Barbara Barth of Manchester, MI, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Margaret formerly worked as a researcher for Washington University and as a substitute teacher for the Farmington School District. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington and Daughters of the American Revolution. She served as a volunteer for many years at the Farmington Pet Adoption Center. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her grandbabies. In her spare time, she enjoyed to paint. Margaret will be forever fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington with Father William Thess as celebrant. Inurnment to follow at Polk Cemetery in Arcadia. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center, P.O. Box 45, Farmington, MO 63640.
