Margaret "Margie" Jean (Belken) Burnette

FARMINGTON – Margaret “Margie” (Belken) Burnette, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on October 12, 2024, at Parkland Health Center at the age of 78. She was born on April 30, 1946, in Fredericktown, Missouri, to the late Paul “Shelby” and Nadine (Kessler) Belken.

Margie is survived by her children, Kevin Bland of Huntington Beach, CA, Billy (Tabytha) Resinger of Farmington, and Cheri Culver of Farmington, her grandchildren, Hunter Bland, Jake Bland, Trevor Byington, Tylor Clanton, Elli White, Lambis Clanton, Hayden Resinger, Shelbi Culver, and Fallon Culver, her brother, Carl (Gretchen) Belken, her partner in life, Terry Burnette, special niece, Kimberly (the late Jim) Schneider and her children, James Schneider and Katlyn Schneider, her special nephew, Timothy (Laura) Copeland, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Shelby and Nadine Belken, her siblings, Donna Mae (Belken) Copeland and Paul Albert Belken Sr. and her special canine companion, Molly.

Margie formerly worked as a local hairdresser for many years. Along with her husband, she also owned Terry and Margie’s Pub in Farmington. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, baking, and other community activities. Margie loved her family dearly and will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Inurnment at a later date at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
