Margaret Alma Politte

FARMINGTON- Margaret Alma (Schramm) Politte, of Farmington joined her husband Bob in their eternal home in Heaven on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the age of 93. Margaret was born on July 2, 1920 at Farmington, daughter of the late Emil Charles and Marie Sophia (Braun) Schramm. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Politte, Sr, (2004); brothers Leonard "Penny" and Carl Schramm; sister Elizabeth "Betty" Knight and brother-in-law Edwin "Ott" Knight, and sisters-in-laws Leola and Ruth Schramm. Margaret was born and raised in Farmington. She was a lifelong, faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was active in many church organizations. On May 11, 1941 she was united in marriage to Robert Politte, Sr. and was a devoted homemaker and mother. She raised three children who survive her, Robert (Gina) Politte, Jr., Pat (Danny) Miller, and Pam Daily (Terry Kingsley). She is also survived by a sister Dorothy Reimer, six grandchildren; Amy (Jeff) Donathan, Jamie (Bill) Gammon, Wendy Kassabaum (Marcus McDaniel), Aaron Miller, Terri Herron, Lisa (Joe) May; eleven great-grandchildren; and several very special nieces and nephews. Friends may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Wednesday, January 29 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitation will continue until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor James T. King officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Grade School or The Good Samaritan Fund at Presbyterian Manor.
