FARMINGTON – Maggie “Mae” Weible of Farmington passed away January 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Southbrook Nursing and Rehab at the age of 95. She was born in Reynolds County, Missouri on February 12, 1929, to the late William Aaron Anderson and Maggie Mae (Goggin) Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James L. Weible, and four brothers and one sister.
Mae, as most called her, grew up in rural Reynolds County and went to High School in Bunker. On July 12, 1947, in St. Louis, Mae married the love of her life, Raymond Leevern Weible, who survives. She and Raymond made their home in St. Louis. They purchased the building that housed Rose's Coffee on Laclede Avenue where they co-owned and operated a lithographic business for many years and she worked alongside him helping with the bookkeeping and office duties. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening and canning. She was a consummate homemaker who took great pride in doing housework.
Mae and Raymond retired to a farm in Coldwater, Missouri where they enjoyed returning to a life that was similar to their country upbringing. Later they moved to Farmington. Mae had a great deal of interest in family history and genealogy research. Her keen sense of humor was a trait her family will remember and hold dear. She often enjoyed playing board games and card games.
She will be sorely missed by all who loved her, including her husband, Raymond; her daughter, Linda (David) Delfel; a special grandson, Jason (Amanda) Delfel; 2 special great-grandchildren, Noah and Elsah; four additional grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the afternoon at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem, Missouri. View the tribute video and share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
