September 20, 1940 — October 7, 2020

WOMACK - Lyle Longworth, of Womack passed away October 7, 2020 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Farmington at the age of 80. He was born September 20, 1940 to the late Marion and Alice (Brich) Longworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Paula Longworth in 2016 and an infant daughter, Chandray Longworth. Lyle was a sweet natured, quiet man who had an easy going way about him. He was an active father who was involved as a scout leader, and baseball and softball coach. Lyle was a member of Genevieve Baptist Church and a former leader for the Missouri Community Betterment Youth Group. He loved doing mechanic work and was very skilled at small engine repair. For a time he lived in Oregon where he worked as a semi tow truck operator. After moving back to this area he continued driving a truck and one of his jobs was hauling fill to the St. Louis Arch construction site. He was an avid NASCAR fan and at one time he was part owner of the St. Francois County Racetrack. When Lyle wasn't working he enjoyed fishing, gardening with his wife and landscaping. Survivors include a son, Roger Longworth of Womack and Lavona (David) Miller of Womack; and three grandchildren, Talon Jones, Ryker Jones and Kaley Miller. The family will plan a graveside memorial service for a future date. View the online obituary and share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
