Lowell Eversole

November 19, 1937 — April 24, 2015

YUMA, AZ - Lowell Eversole of Yuma, Arizona, formerly of Ste. Genevieve County, passed away April 24, 2015 at Yuma Regional Medical Center at the age of 77 years. He was born November 19, 1937 at Hazard, Kentucky son of the late John and Amy (Fugate) Eversole. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Alma Justine Warner, and a brother Clarence Dean Eversole. Lowell proudly served his country in the US Air Force for over 10 years, and then became a civil service engineer until his retirement. He was a member of the Church of God and a past active member of the Christian Missionary Group "Men & Women of Action". He was an accomplished carpenter and woodworker. In Arizona he began a small business, "A-Cross America" making small wooden crosses to be sold or given away, a business and ministry in which Lowell was especially blessed. He will be missed by his wife of 57 years Virginia (Hurt) Eversole, two sons Darrell Eversole of Barnhart and Dennis Eversole of Washington State. Five brothers, Douglas Eversole, Vernon Eversole, Kenneth Eversole and Luther Eversole, numerous other relatives, many dear friends and neighbors from all over. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment in Marcus Memorial Cemetery at Fredericktown with full military honors. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Hands Extended Inc.
