FARMINGTON Louis John Rangel, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on February 22, 2023, at Parkland Health Center at the age of 90. He was born on July 21, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Antonio and Maria (Sandino) Rangel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Betty Joan (Hayes) Rangel, his siblings, and his honorary brother and dear friend of over 30 years, Donald McDaniels. In true "Lou" fashion, "Dont use names so you dont leave anyone out or get it wrong", his survivors include two daughters, a son-in-law, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other extended family, and his best buddy ever and partner in crime, Jordan. Lou was a veteran and proudly served his country as a Sergeant during the Korean conflict in the United States Marine Corps. He was a life member of the VFW Post #5896 and the American Legion Post #0416 both of Farmington. Lou never met a stranger and gave pure love to everyone he met. He enjoyed traveling throughout his life and lately he loved spending time with his new friends he met while at Cedarhurst. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Per Lous request, no formal services will be held. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Camp Hope, P.O. Box 52, Farmington, MO 63640 or http://www.chrisnealfarm.com/public/?q=donate-to-camp-hope or to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center, P.O. Box 45, Farmington, MO 63640.
