Lottie Moore

February 18, 1920 — April 16, 2006

Carlotta Lottie Mary Moore of Farmington passed away on April 16, 2006, at the Presbyterian Manor, at the age of 86 years. She was born on February 18, 1920, in Durant, OK, the daughter of the late Simon Monroe and Artie Annie (Carrico) Payne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ash Moore, three brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Moore was a long-time member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington. Lottie married the late Arthur Moore in Dallas, TX in September of 1945. She and her husband managed the Farmington Bowl Aire Bowling Lanes for many years. She had been a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 5896 and the Eagles Lodge. Her family has many fond memories of her special golden fried potatoes, her love of playing bingo, and her great sense of humor. She loved her dogs, Peanuts and Goober. She is survived by sister, Artie Wilson of Farmington, and the relatives from this area, special nephews, Wayne (Donna) Wilson of Farmington, and Jim (Karen) Wilson of Doe Run, and special niece, Barb Ragsdale of Bonne Terre. Numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2006. A Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the Bowling Hall of Fame.
