Lorrain Minks

BRIDGETON Lorraine Minks passed away November 20, 2017 at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 87. She was born August 15, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Oscar Lee and Algie (Harris) Watts.

Lorraine grew up in St. Louis. She later worked as a sales consultant for a jewelry store; a career she very much enjoyed. She was the ultimate homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and going shopping.

Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Ivan Glenn Minks of Americus, GA; her two daughters, Carla Elizabeth (Minks) Burnham of Overland, MO and Michele Yvonne (Minks) Owen of Columbia, MO; step-daughters, Susan Gale Minks of Leesburg, GA, Christy Lorraine (Minks) Kjos of Pensacola, FL and Carol Ann (Minks) Stone of Americas, GA; a step son, Ivan Glenn Minks, Jr. of Macon, GA; one brother, Oscar Lee Watts of Crestwood, MO; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Days Saints Farmington. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Church with Bishop Dave Heeding officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington.
