FARMINGTON Jeffrey and Loretta Borchers entered into eternal rest on January 11 and 12, 2021, respectively. Jeff was born in Ferguson, MO on February 16, 1944. He grew up in Warrensburg, MO where he spent most of his life. After high school, he served proudly in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Cold War. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Warrensburg where he completed his bachelor's degree and entered into ownership of the family business, Warrensburg Refrigeration. He worked in heating and cooling for over 50 years until retiring to move closer to his grandchildren. Jeff could fix anything, and loved visiting and talking to anyone. He loved to travel and cook, and spend time with his grandchildren. He spent the last two years in Farmington, MO, doing these things, until the prospect of living without Loretta became unbearable, and he passed suddenly to wait for her to join him the next day. Loretta Borchers was born in Warrensburg MO on October 20, 1955, and spent most of her life there. She worked as the business manager for Warrensburg Refrigeration until retiring to Farmington, MO in 2018. She was fiercely dedicated to her family and loved spending time with them above all else. She loved traveling and cooking with Jeffrey, and working with her plants both inside and out. She was a woman of incredible strength and fortitude, and courageously fought breast cancer for many years. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Maybelle Borchers, as well as his brother, John, and sister, Sylvia Taylor. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Geraldine Peery. They are survived by their son, Jonathan (Kim) Borchers of Farmington and grandchildren, Brayden Hartel, Austin Hartel, and Jack Harvey Borchers. Loretta is also survived by her brother, Dale Peery of Warrensburg. Numerous other extended family and many friends also survive. No services will be held at this time given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Arrangements are being handled through Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory. Share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
