Lois Scaggs

Lois Babb Scaggs of Farmington passed away November 1, 2009, at the Farmington Presbyterian Manor, at the age of 92 years. She was born August 18, 1917, at Ste. Genevieve, daughter of the late Malinda (Roux) and John Babb Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Scaggs, a daughter, Bonnie Gordon, a son, Fred B. Scaggs, and a brother, John Babb Jr. Mrs. Scaggs was a member of the First Church of God of Farmington. Before her retirement, she was employed as a Psychiatric Aide at the Farmington State Hospital No. 4. She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Bob) Gordon of Holts Summit, MO, and Patsy (Mrs. Russ) Reagan of Farmington, a son, Wes Scaggs, of Jackson, four nephews, Carl Crawford, Curt Crawford, and Clark Crawford, and Larry Babb, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Visitation will resume at 7 to 9 a.m. on Thursday. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the First Church of God with the Rev. Thomas Reagan officiating, assisted by Pastor Terry Arington. Burial will follow at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
