Linda Gail Hawkins

FARMINGTON Linda Gail Hawkins, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2023, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center at the age of 69. She was born on January 12, 1954, in Rantoul, Illinois, to Alma "Tommie" (Murphy) Hawkins and the late Harold "Gene" Hawkins. Linda is survived by her mother, Alma "Tommie" (Murphy) Hawkins of Farmington, her sister, Mary Ann Burch and husband, Tom of Farmington, her niece, Kristee Bloom and husband John of Irondale, her nephew, Keith Burch and wife, Casey of Farmington, her great niece, Lindsay Bloom, her great nephews, Ty Burch and Brody Burch along with many friends. Linda retired from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in Jefferson City after 25 years of employment. She was a longtime member and former treasurer at Farmington Church of God. She was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed yardwork, gardening, biking on the Katy Trail, playing games and counted cross stitch. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Dr. Darlene Williams assisted by Reverend Donna Bevels and Reverend Bruce Underhill. Interment to follow at Knob Lick Cemetery.
