Linda Carter

Linda Suellen Carter, of Farmington, passed away December 20, 2014 at the age of 59. She was born January 28, 1955 in New Castle, IN to the late Robert Simpson and Alta Mae Simpson who survives. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Simpson. Linda had lived in many locations in the United States but settled in Farmington with her husband, Larry in 2013. She was a faithful member of the Farmington First Assembly of God where she enjoyed worshiping the Lord and singing his praises. She learned the skill of signing earlier in her life and used that talent frequently both in speaking and singing. She had been involved in various ministries throughout he life to name a few, the Salvation Army, Convoy of Hope, Clowning Ministries and more recently Prison Ministries. Additionally, Linda ministered to nursing homes along with her dog, Minnie. Linda was in her best element when she was cooking and baking for friends and family. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Larry Wayne Carter; her mother, Alta Simpson; four brothers, Eddie, Robbie, Travis and Kevin; one sister, Tracy; two special friends, Lou Falch and Sue Ceasar; two special God children, CC and Ryder; and a host of nieces and nephews as well. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 26 from 1 to 2 p.m. with services to follow at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Kevin Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials, if desired may be made to First Assembly of God of Farmington.
