Liela M. Becker

BISMARCK Liela M. Becker, of Bismarck, entered into eternal rest on June 25, 2022, at Meadowbrook Residential Care in Pilot Knob at the age of 90. She was born in Benton, Illinois, on February 24, 1932, to the late John and Dolly (Maragni) Cergnul. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Becker Sr. and her siblings, Virginia "Gina" (the late William) Tiepelman, Frank (the late Lorna) Cergnul, Emil (the late Jean) Cergnul, Edward Cergnul, and John Cergnul, infant. Liela is survived by her children, Robert "Bob" G. (Elizabeth) Becker Jr. of Eden Prairie, MN, Lorraine (Donald P. Jr.) Lofe of Danville, CA, and Teresa (David) Campbell of Park Hills, her grandchildren, Robert G. "Rob" (Mary) Becker III, David (Gretchen) Becker, James "Ryan" (Marie) Becker, Donald P. Lofe III, Lauren Lofe, and Zachary Campbell, her great grandchildren, Savion, Tea, Mathilda, Hart, Gideon, and Mae, her sister, Rosemarie Peterson of Hillsboro, OR, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Liela was a former member of All Souls Catholic Church in Overland, MO, Ste. Marie du Lac in Ironton, and St. John the Apostle in Bismarck. She was a 50+ year member of Iron Mountain Lake Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, cake decorating, word puzzles, and fishing and camping with her husband in their younger years. Liela served as a foster mother to many infants and was truly an angel on earth. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 7:00am until time of service at 9:00am in the Cozean Chapel. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
