Leona Lucille Herbst

Leona L. Herbst of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at the age of 77 years. She was born on August 11, 1930, at Doe Run, the daughter of the late Ernest Frederick and Josephine C. (Wichman) Herbst. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite Crawford and two infant siblings. Ms. Herbst was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington. She had worked for many years at the former Farmington Community Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and embroidery work and cooking. She is survived by two brothers, Clarence Herbst and wife, Rose of Farmington, and Arvel Herbst and wife Elvera of Ste. Genevieve. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007. A funeral service will follow at the Cozean Chapel at 11 a.m. with Pastor James King officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
