Lee Kreitler

FARMINGTON Lee Kreitler of Farmington passed away November 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 92. She was born in St. Mary, Missouri on September 15, 1931, to the late Leon Edward DeLassus and Mabel Catherine (Sulser) DeLassus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard W. Kreitler in 2006 and her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and David Reichert; sisters, May and Clementine and brothers, Harold, Quentin, and Joe Delassus. Lee will be remembered by many for her years of service in the banking industry. She retired from First State Community Bank as Vice President after 40 years, a career she dearly loved. After her retirement she was a board member, as well as the bookkeeper, for Ben Nor apartments until 2018. She was also an active volunteer for St. Vincent De Paul food pantry. A faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was also a member of Women of Mary. Some of her favorite pastimes were cooking for friends and family and doting on her grandchildren. She would take her grandchildren anywhere they wanted to go. Aside from her own grandchildren, there were always other children too that called her "Grandma Lee". Some of her specialty dishes were dumplings, fried chicken, ding dong cake and Darla cookies. Lees family will always remember her caring ways and her positive attitude. Survivors include her son, Richard "R.T." (Julie) Kreitler; grandchildren, Noah Reichert, Phillip (Maci) Kreitler and Davie (Michael Marks) Prather; great grandchildren, Kayla Miller, Haylee Marks, Klayton, Khloe and Chandler Kreitler; Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5 8 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel, with a holy rosary service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 8 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church beginning at 10 a.m. with Father William Thess as celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Farmington Pet Adoption Center, St. Jude Childrens Hospital or St. Joseph Catholic School.
