Leatheann "Ruth" Robertson of Farmington passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the age of 83 years. She was born on March 4, 1931, in Ste. Genevieve County daughter of the late John William Thomure and Leona Alma (Harmon) Sanders. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Leroy Robertson on July 9, 2009; four sisters, Helen Bowling, Hazel McCabe, Alta Wampler and Bertha Gastreich and two brothers, Vernon Thomure and Jerry Thomure. Ruth grew up in the Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois County area before moving as an adult to St. Louis. In 1980 she and her husband retired back to the Farmington area. She was employed as a cafeteria worker in the Berkeley school district and later for Parkland Hospital. She retired from Parkland Hospital in 1997 after 16 years of service. Ruth enjoyed traveling and visiting with relatives and friends. She was a caregiver who was always there for her loved ones when they needed her. She was a faithful member of First United Baptist Church of Farmington. She will be remembered as a loving person who will be sorely missed. Survivors include her brother, John Ellis Thomure of Farmington; her three children, a son, William Robertson and wife, Deb, of Goose Creek; her daughters, Patricia Wiseman and husband, David; and Sandra Miller and husband, Joe, all of Farmington; grandchildren, Bobby (Eve) Robertson, Bruce Wiseman, Lee (Elizabeth) Wiseman, William (Kim) Wiseman, Kimberly (Derek) Miller, Elizabeth (Charles) Johnston, Jesse (Tonya) Miller and Danny Miller; 15 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jacob, Rainee, Michael, Hunter, Madison, Jade, Elijah, Jesse, Brandon, Justin, Josh, Cheyenne, Brittany and Brandi; very special friends, Nelda Waller of Patton and Don and Debbie Strickland of St. Louis; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 19 beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a. m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Donald Strickland officiating.
