Lavonne "Dale" Davis

Lavonne "Dale" Davis of Farmington passed away February 6, 2015 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on June 27, 1939 in Broseley, Missouri to the late Louie and Audrey Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Laverne Davis and Benjamin Ramsey; and a nephew, Gary Davis. "Dale" will be fondly remembered by his family as a man of few words whose actions spoke multitudes. His children and grandchildren learned hard work ethic from him. He loved living with his beloved wife, Shirley on their acreage outside of town and tending to his catfish pond and garden. He was often accompanied by the family dog, Bandit, as he rode around the property in his four-wheeler. His family was his pride and joy. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Shirley; two sons, Terry Davis and wife, Carolyn, of Jacksonville, FL and Keith Davis, and wife, Pam, of Farmington; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a special aunt, Lou Trout of Doniphan; and other extended family.
