FARMINGTON Larry G. Battreal of Farmington passed away February 28, 2014 at his home. He was born February 24, 1953 in Washington County, Missouri to the late Joseph and Orpha Battreal. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Caroline Battreal. Larry began his career with Union Pacific Railroad after graduating high school. He furthered his education by attending Mineral Area College. As well as enjoying his career, he also like spending time with his grandchildren. He especially liked telling grand-daughter, Paige, about his younger years and spending time with McKinley talking about "guy stuff" and pocket knives. Larry is survived by two children, daughter, Faith Lynn of Bonne Terre and son, ,Greg (Angie) Battreal of Farmington; four grandchildren, Paige and McKinley Lynn and Hannah and Cole Battreal; nine sisters, Pat Boyer, Catherine Becker, Julia East, Diane Mull, Geraldine Parmley, Brenda Webb, Linda Sitzes, Glenda Christ and Tammy Thomas, and three brothers, Bill, James and Donnie Battreal. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, March 6 from 5 - 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Brother Allen Berry and Brother David Black officiating.
