Larry Dale "L.D." Pyatt, Sr.

FARMINGTON Larry "L. D." Pyatt, Sr. passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 in his home of forty years, at the age of 77. He was born September 12, 1940 in Boss, Missouri to the late Orville and Hattie Mae (Asher) Pyatt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur, Corbie and Don; a son, Terry Nicholas and a grandson, Kristopher Nicholas.

Larry owned and operated a construction company in the Farmington area from 1968 until 1982. He was a construction superintendent for Alberici Construction, supervising the construction of the Trans-World Dome in St. Louis, the Boeing Delta V. Rocket plant in Huntsville, Alabama, and many other local projects from 1982 until his retirement in 2003.

An avid farmer, Larry loved his tractors and was proud of his farm. He spent much of his retirement outdoors tending to his fields. He also enjoyed riding his four-wheeler around his property and spending time with his family. Larry and his wife, Deloris enjoyed traveling to such places as Alaska, Mount Rushmore and wintering in Donna, Texas.

Larry accepted the Lord as his Savior and attended Life Church in Farmington.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Deloris (Zink) Pyatt; sons, Dewayne Pyatt, Ricky (Missy) Pyatt and Larry Pyatt, Jr., all of Farmington; a brother, Eddie (Shannon) Pyatt, of Donna, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda (Charlie), David (Katie), Curt (Erica), Brandi, Anita Lee and Laura; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning at 7 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Leon Miller officiating.
