Ladon Webster

PACIFIC LaDon Webster, of Pacific, formerly of Doe Run, passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 14, 2017 at Victorian Place of Union at the age of 80. She was born August 7, 1936 at Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Luiea Skaggs and Macie (Lewis) Skaggs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Sam Webster, in 1987.

LaDon graduated from high school at Doe Run in 1955. She went on to work for a short time at Trimfoot in Farmington before becoming a full time stay-at-home mom. In addition to being a top notch mom to her two kids, she also loved to paint, enjoyed traveling and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. LaDon loved being out in her swimming pool, hosting pool parties for friends and family, as well as just relaxing and soaking up the sun. Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life and she loved to spoil them. LaDon was loved by everyone who met her and knew her.

Survivors include her children, Randy (Carol) Webster of Union and Vicky Pealer of Union; four grandchildren, Loreli Straub, Melody Webster, Cheyanne Dietzler and Dalton Pealer; one great grandchild, Ariana Straub; a sister, Anna (Joe) Honerkamp; three brothers, Jim (Virginia) Skaggs, Charles (Janet) Skaggs and Rick (Gale) Skaggs; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, July 18, at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will be held at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery following the service. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
