Farmington Kevin Lee Meyer of Farmington passed away on January 2, 2022 after fighting a battle with Covid 19 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. at the age of 56. He was born on January 29, 1965 in Farmington, MO to the late Arthur (Sonny) and Willa Dean Meyer. Kevin was a man who knew more friends than strangers and enjoyed moving new acquaintances to his friend column. He relished the chance to spend time during his day catching up with friends while running chores for his businesses. Kevin learned early from his mentor and father the value of reaching out and helping others and was blessed with a quick wit and humor from his mother. He used them both to make anyone he met feel welcome. He enjoyed creating something new out of things others may see as worn and expressed that passion in auto restoration and home renovation. But his greatest love was guiding and watching his sons become men; and serving as PaPa to his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington and enjoyed greeting friends and neighbors there as an usher. He is survived by his sons, Seth (Molly) Meyer of Farmington, MO and Zach Meyer of Farmington, MO his grandchildren Libbie and Abel Meyer of Potosi, MO, Ella Meyer of Farmington, MO, his sister Cindy (Tom) Butterbaugh of Paducah, KY, his brother, Larry Meyer (Sharon) of Scott City, MO, former wife Robin Meyer of Desloge, MO and a number of nephews, great nieces and great nephews who adored him as their fun loving "Uncle Kev" and his special friend Megan Rion and her son Kellen of Farmington, MO. Visitation will resume on Friday January 7 from 7:00am until 10:00am with services at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington.
