FARMINGTON Kenneth "Ken" Smith, of Farmington, passed away on January 20, 2019 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 69. He was born January 11, 1950 at Pineville, Kentucky to the late Robert Smith and Pearl (Petty) Mills. In addition to his mother and father he was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Sampson and Kathleen Smith. Ken served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970. Soon after he returned to civilian life he became a welder and until his retirement worked in that field. In more recent years he worked at Menards. He was a member of the Nazarene Church at Pinecrest in Fredericktown where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School. When Ken was nature hiking and videoing the sights and sounds of nature he was in his element. His loved ones will forever cherish the memory of his love and devotion for his family. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Judy (Tripp) Smith; three children, Brandon (Julie Guthrie) Smith, Vincent Smith and Amanda Smith; grandchildren, Morgan Smith, Dakota Smith, Ariel Meadors, Tristan Meadors, Bentley Pryor and Ethan Woody; great granddaughter, Kindal Tedder; a brother, Earl Sampson and sisters, Rita Sue Sampson and Sherri Kay Rose. Friends may call on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5 8 pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will continue Friday morning beginning at 7 a m until the time of the service at 10 a m in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. James Jenkerson officiating.
