Kenneth Alan O'Neal of Farmington passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the age of 60 years. He was born on March 8, 1954, in St. Louis, son of the late Otis Everett and Otella Euala (Ray) O'Neal. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy O'Neal and Eric O'Neal, Sr.; and three sisters, Ruthie Woods, Sandy Powell and Cathy Dispenziere. Kenny, as most knew him, grew up in St. Louis and graduated from McKinley High School. After attending Mineral Area College he went to work for the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center where he was the education coordinator for the staff. Kenny was a person with varied talents and interests. From way back he had established himself as a magician and loved teaching magic tricks to his two boys. He played guitar and other string instruments, as well as sang in a band for many years. He enjoyed frequenting auctions and owned his own auction house in Leadington. He was the original picker. His loved ones will remember him as a man who above all was devoted to his family. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Rose Marie (Ward) O'Neal; two sons, Steven O'Neal, and Nathan O'Neal and his fiance, Amber Rosenau, all of Farmington; four brothers, Bobby O'Neal, Dennis O'Neal, Anthony O'Neal, Sr. and Scott O'Neal; one sister, Diana Sue Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a long time friend, Michael Dunn. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
