Kenneth Miller

Kenneth Francis Miller of Farmington passed away March 14, 2009, at his residence at the age of 87 years. He was born on July 29, 1921, at Ste. Genevieve County to the late Francis Jefferson and Floretta Myrtle (Benedict) Miller. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen Ray Miller, three brothers, Harry, Albert, and Randall, and a sister, Iris Hahn. Mr. Miller worked for many years as a carpenter in residential construction and as a farmer. He was of the Baptist faith. He served his nation during World War II with the U.S. Army in Panama and later with the occupation forces in Germany. He was a member of the St. Francois Masonic Lodge No. 234 at Libertyville. He is survived by five sons, Randall Miller and wife Debbie of Fredericktown, Danny Miller and wife Pat, and Douglas and Nathan Miller, all of Farmington, and Donald Miller and wife Connie of Lansing, KS, and by three daughters, Doris Elaine Giessing of Farmington, Mary Ellen (Mrs. Danny) Fitzgerald of Tuscumbia, AL, and Sandra (Mrs. Mike) Cash of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, as well as by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 17, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, with funeral services 11 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel with the Rev. Gene Proffer officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Haney Cemetery. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc.
