Kelsey Lynn Christisen

FARMINGTON - Kelsey Lynn Christisen of Farmington entered into eternal rest on December 5, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 32. She was born November 25, 1991 in Farmington to Kenneth Wayne Strickland and Angela Lynn (Murphy) Strickland. Preceding her in death was her paternal grandfather, John Strickland and her uncle Carl Steele. Kelsey was a 2010 graduate of Farmington High School and went on to Mineral Area College and Central Methodist University where she graduated with a bachelors degree in Psychology. She worked at the Farmington Juvenile Center for three years and later she was employed at the Childrens Advocacy Center for five years. Her main mission in life was to help kids and to have a family of her own. Kelsey was an artistic person who enjoyed drawing, painting and crocheting. She also liked riding horses and ghost hunting. She adored her family and according to her children she was the very best mom ever. In addition to her parents, Kenny and Angie, she is survived by the love of her life, soulmate and husband of 13 years, Jesse Christisen; her children, Chloe, Kaylee and Kinsley; a special niece, Aurora Rose Strickland; brother Kyle (April) Strickland; father-in-law, Kevin (Gale) Christisen; mother-in-law, Brenda Wade; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Janet Murphy; paternal grandmother, Wilma Strickland and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are numerous good friends. Visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, beginning at 12 noon followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Copeland Family Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
