Kathy Ann Wills of Farmington passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, at the age of 57 years. She was born on July 24, 1953, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Lorene (Triller) Newell and the late James Bobby Brown. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her step-father, Lynn Newell. Kathy was born and raised in Jackson, Missouri where she graduated from Jackson High School in 1971. She attended Metro Business College and worked in the Jackson/Cape Girardeau area. On July 4, 1975 she met the love of her life, Thomas David Wills, III. They were married March 4, 1978 in the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson. In 1980 Tom and Kathy moved to Farmington where they made their home. Kathy was the ultimate homemaker who enjoyed interior decorating and crafts. She was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Farmington where she had taught Childrens' Church with her husband for the past 26 years. Her family was the pride of her life's work. To know Kathy was to love her. In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by her mother, Lorene Newell of Jackson, two daughters, Amanda Brooke (Mrs. Bryan) Hake of Springfield, MO and Lindsey Ann (Mrs. John Cody) Eaves of Farmington; a step-daughter, Amy Michelle Weedman of Farmington; two grandchildren, Madison and Jacob; four sisters, Karen (Mrs. Ralph) Green, Charlotte Kaye (Mrs. Michael) Weston, Karla (Mrs. Dan) Huffman, and Kristie (Mrs. Kenny) Hutson; five brothers, Victor Ken Brown and his wife Kim, Jeff Brown, Kerry Brown, James Kevin Brown and his wife Lila and Billy Newell and his wife Debbie; a sister-in-law, Cheryl (Mrs. Bob) Clingingsmith and brother-in-law, Dr. James W. Wills and his wife Donna, all of Jackson. Also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 3 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 7 a.m. until noon in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Roger Hogan officiating at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 305 West Columbia St., Farmington, MO, 1 block west of Cozean Memorial Chapel.
