FARMINGTON - Kathryn Alice Jaco of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on January 7, 2022, at Community Manor at the age of 71. She was born November 10, 1950 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Clyde Silkwood and Augusta (Rose) Silkwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Jaco in 1974; her stepdaughter, Sheila Fry, her brothers, Bruce Silkwood; Joseph Silkwood, a sister, Marie Cardno and her mother in law and father in law, Alice and Everett Jaco. "Kathy" as most knew her, grew up in North St. Louis where her family moved in the 1950's. For most of her adult life, she was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker except for a few years when she worked at Reynolds Aluminum Plant in the 1970's. She will be remembered as an immaculate housekeeper and an excellent cook. She attended the Abundant Life Church near Farmington. Her family will cherish the memory of her as a caring and compassionate mother. Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Melvin Jaco; her son, Jason (Oryanna) Jaco, all of Farmington; four step-grandchildren, Connie Michelle (Jeff) Voss, Tosha (Hans) Erlbacker, Beth (Randy) Frye and Dakota Gardner; a brother, Clarence Silkwood and a sister, Margaret Murray; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. There will be a celebration of life service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Abundant Life Church on Highway 221 in Farmington. Share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
