Katherine "Katie" Dunivan

Katherine "Katie" Dunivan of Farmington, passed away October 27, 2016 at her home at the age of 25. She was born June 11, 1991, the daughter of Chip and Jennifer Dunivan. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Kathy Potter and Jewell Potter; and great grandfather Rathul Davis.

Katie was a vibrant young woman who never ever met a stranger. She will be remembered for her caring spirit and her big heart. Katie's stubborn nature and tenacity was evident in her lifelong, courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Her valiant struggle included many surgeries and a double lung transplant in November of 2014. Her beautiful eyes and her contagious smile will be forever etched in her loved ones' minds.

Survivors include her parents, Chip and Jennifer Dunivan; the love of her life, fiance, Randy Lee Crites; two brothers, Evan Dunivan, Tristan Dunivan and sister, Mary Dunivan; grandparents, Lindell P. Dunivan and wife, Ruth, David Pratte and wife, Lorri and Betty Psalmonds and husband, Jerry; great grandparents, Pauline Davis, Leila and Roy Skelton and a host of extended family members as well.

Friends may call on Wednesday, November 2 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the funeral time at 1 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Kevin Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to Mid America Transplant.
