Katherine Elizabeth Womack

Katherine Elizabeth "Katie" Womack of Farmington passed away August 9, 2015 at the age of 19. She was born December 12, 1995 in Farmington to James P. Womack and Christina M. (Kuhlman) Womack. Preceding her in death were her grandfathers, James E. Womack and Roland E. Kuhlman; grandmother, Grace Kuhlman Hann and her aunt, Dawn S. Womack. Katie will be remembered most for her great sense of humor. She was fun loving, a bit stubborn and an energetic individual who was very loyal to her family and friends. Her grandparents and extended family were very endearing to her and she loved their knowledge and guidance. It is now comforting for her family to know that she is spending her time in Heaven with Grandpa Womack. During her school years Katie enjoyed sports such as volleyball, basketball, softball and soccer and the camaraderie that went along with teamwork. Some of the other things she enjoyed were shopping, red lipstick and beach vacations with her family. Living on the farm gave her a chance to enjoy numerous animals and the freedom of the outdoors. She was a member of Farmington Memorial United Methodist Church, and a graduate of the church's Growing Room Preschool. Katie was a 2014 graduate of Farmington High School and planned to follow her father and sister's footsteps and pursue a career in social work. In addition to her loving parents, Katie is survived by her sister, Sarah Christine Womack. She was granddaughter or "Little Dot" to Dorothy Womack, with whom she had a special relationship. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, David E. (Marlene) Womack, Nancy Womack (Terry) Medley, Lisa Kuhlman (Ron) Bretz and Cynthia Kuhlman (Rob) Judah; cousins, David, Shelley, Patrick, James, Craig, Tony, Nick, Mary, Ann and Tyson. She also leaves behind loyal friends that will always be special and her devoted pets, Flash, Brownie and Sadie. At the request of Katie's family, services will be private. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Farmington School District Backpack Program. Private Funeral Service
