Kasher Dale Lunsford of Park Hills passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospitalat the age of 84 years. He was born on February 8, 1926, at Flat River the son of the late Kasher Herman and Isabell (Newberger) Lunsford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Kasher served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. While serving he received two purple hearts. He came back to Park Hills and worked in the mines for many years. Survivors include three sisters, Irene Kennon, Elvina Harter and Shirley Shannon. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, October 4 with a service to follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Eddie Bone officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be held beginning at 2 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
