Julia Ann Buchholz

Julia Ann Buchholz of Farmington passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at the Presbyterian Manor at the age of 84 years. She was born on August 18, 1924, at Willow Springs, MO, the daughter of the late Hardin and Tillie (Davis) Dooms. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Otto Buchholz and step-mother, Fern Dooms, brother, Clyde Dooms, sisters-in-law, Gwen and Mildred Dooms, and nephew, Rusty Dooms. Julia married Otto Buchholz on January 20, 1942. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington where she was active in the Ladies Aid, LWML, and the Life with Spice Bible Study group. She also was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Reeves and husband, Darrell of Farmington, grandchildren, Cindy Halter and husband David of Farmington, and Tim Reeves and wife Gwen of St. Louis, great-grandchildren, Jacob Halter, Cole Reeves, and Olivia Reeves, all of St. Louis, brother, Bud Dooms of Shelton, WA, sister, Trilba Cobble of Lees Summit, brother-in-law, Gus Buchholz of Farmington, two nieces, Bernita McElroy of Centralia, WA, Kathleen (Mrs. Mike) Crowe of Turnwater, WA, three nephews, Michael Dooms and wife Pat, and Mark Dooms, all of Centralia, WA, and Kevin Dooms of St. Louis. Other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, especially those at Presbyterian Manor, also survive. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2009. Visitation will resume on Monday from 7 to 9 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor James King officiating, assisted by Pastor David Oddi.
