Judy Mae Mccarver

August 21, 1945 — March 30, 2019

FARMINGTON Judy Mae McCarver, of Farmington passed away March 30, 2019 at her home at the age of 73. She was born in Davenport, Iowa on August 21, 1945 to the late Everett Thornburg and Esther (Clayton) Thornburg Kinder. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, Ode Kinder and a sister, Donna Valleroy. Judy grew up in the German Community in Madison County, Missouri where she attended the one room school house before going to Fredericktown High School. She also took computer classes at Vaterott College. On June 9, 1962 she married the love of her life, Charles McCarver. Judy worked at Trimfoot for 32 years, at J. C. Penney for three years and then retired after five years at the SEMO Mental Health Facility. She and Charles loved to travel in their RV and they spent 9 years in Branson where they enjoyed working at various places including the Corps of Engineers. In her spare time Judy was a scrapbooker, quilter and a wonderful cook. Her cherry pies and chicken and noodles were some of her signature dishes. She was very family oriented and her family was her life. The word of God and reading her daily devotions was a very important part of her life. Judy and Charles attended the Calvary Church in Fredericktown. Survivors include her loving husband, Charles; two sons, Jay (Leigh Ann) McCarver and Tim (Sherry Sherman) McCarver; two grandchildren, Cody Allen McCarver and Kylie Nichole Smith; three great grandchildren, Madison McCarver, Mackenzie McCarver and Emersyn Hodge; two sisters, Pam Rolens and Kim White; a brother, J. R. Kinder; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 2 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Randy Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow at Knob Lick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Serenity HospiceCare.
