Judith "Judie" Elaine Meador

Judith Judie Elaine Meador of Farmington, passed away March 12, 2008, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 65 years. She was born May 5, 1942, at Bismarck, daughter of the late Woodrow Jessie Link and Lillian Almeda King. She retired from the State of Missouri, Division of Family Services as a caseworker, was a member of the Farmington VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and spent her free time as a volunteer for the Parkland Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Joel Meador Sr. of Farmington, two sons, Kevin (Robin) Brooks of Wortham and Joel Meador Jr. of Park Hills, three daughters, Kelley Brooks of Farmington, Linda Meador and Pamela Meador of Indiana, two step-daughters, Diane Wann of Park Hills, and Dana (Steve) Warren of Desloge, one brother, Dennis (Barbara) Link of Sikeston, one aunt, Mary E. Pherigo of Bismarck, 11 grandchildren 2 and great-grandchildren, dear friends, Mark & Dawn Chapman of Park Hills, Tom Treaster of Farmington, Helen Ledbetter also of Farmington, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other friends and relatives also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 14, with a VFW Auxiliary service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume at 7:00 a.m., Saturday March 15, at the chapel, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. William Miller officiating.
