Judith Ann "Judy" Douglas

FARMINGTON- Judith Ann "Judy" Douglas of Farmington, passed away, Friday, June 6, 2014 at her home at the age of 75 years. She was born July 23, 1938 at Perryville, daughter of Irma Anna Marie (Lorenz) Hoffstetter and the late Louis George Hoffstetter. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her first husband Don Pingel and one brother in infancy. Judy was a long-time and faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Farmington. She was employed as a Bank Associate at First State Community Bank in Farmington for over 40 years. In her spare time she enjoyed tending her flowers, collecting lighthouses, and at one time bowling. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, including her husband, Kenneth A. Douglas and Ken's son, Mark Douglas of Farmington, mother Irma Hoffstetter of Perryville, daughter Vicki (& Mike) Reeves of Farmington, and two sons Dave Pingel of Hartsburg, and Michael (& Anne) Pingel of Potosi, six grandchildren, and numerous cousins, friends, and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 5 -8 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume on Monday after 8 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church and continue until 9:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor James King officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
