Juanita "Nita" Bernice Pratt

FARMINGTON Juanita Bernice "Nita" Pratt, of Farmington, passed away December 21, 2016 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis at the age of 78. She was born in Belgrade on June 9, 1938 to the late William Campbell and Audrey (Powell) Campbell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Pratt in 2005 and a brother, William Campbell.

Nita graduated from Bismarck High School. She was married to Raymond Pratt on May 24, 1957. Family was important to Nita and she was always very nurturing and protective of her three children. Being a homemaker was her main occupation, however, she had worked for Dicus Drug Store and J. C. Penneys. She was of strong faith and loved reading her bible and devotional books. Her family will remember that aside from being an avid reader, she liked to crochet. A wonderful cook, Nitas signature dish was her delicious brownies.

Survivors include her children, Fannie (Mike) Smith of Farmington, Thomas "Pete" Pratt of Ste. Genevieve and Sam (Charm) Pratt of Creve Couer; three grandchildren, Katie (Chad) Ruble, Christina Miller and Dexter Pratt; great grandchildren, Landon and Maddy Ruble and Caden Miller; her siblings, Donald Campbell, Mary (Bud) Mortimer, Tom (Sheila) Campbell, Carolyn (Bud) Skidmore, Nancy (Bob) Taylor, Margie Whaley, Dale Campbell and David (Karen) Campbell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
