Alma Juanita Cleland of Farmington passed away on May 26, 2006, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at the age of 84 years. She was born on May 14, 1922, in Brevard County, FL, the daughter of the late Ashley and Opal (Lane) Buck. She was also preceded in death by one brother Herbert Buck, and one half brother, Edgar Buck. She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Cleland Sr., two sons, Robert W. Cleland Jr, (Melissa) of Pueblo, CO, and Karl F. Hielscher (Elizabeth) of Dallas, TX ; two daughters, LaVaune Sitzes (Jesse) of Farmington and JoLynn Johnson (James) of Camdenton, MO; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by two half brothers, Rawson Buck and Robert Buck, both of the state of Florida, and one half sister, Mary Turner of the state of North Carolina. Juanita attended the First Baptist Church of Farmington and was a member of the DAR. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being active in church. Her interests included reading, needlework, doing puzzles and sewing. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Farmington on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church.
