Joy Robinson

Joy Lavena Arlene Robinson passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014, at the age of 79 years. She was born on June 26, 1934, at Columbia, MO, daughter of the late Alexander Bruton and Lavena Arlene (Wescott) Rothwell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her previous husbands, Claude Bowman and Jesse Robinson; three brothers and a sister. Joy grew up in Columbia, Missouri where she graduated from high school in 1952. She went on to become a devoted wife and mother. She was a faithful member of the Farmington First Church of the Nazarene where she was active in many church activities. She will be remembered for being a very nurturing person who cared for everyone who came into her life. Survivors include her daughter, Julie (Mrs. Robert) Edgerly of Olathe, KS; step-sons, Glenn Bowman of Bull Head City, AZ and James (Janell) Bowman of Farmington; step-daughters, Delores (Mrs. Gene) Cain of Hillsboro, MO and Sharon Berge of Aurora, CO; two grandchildren, Alex and Alicia Edgerly; nine step-grandchildren and several step-greatgrandchildren. Also surviving is her former husband and father of their daughter, Kenneth L. Frasier, Jr. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 16 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Keith Huffman officiating. Private interment will be at Columbia Memorial Park in Columbia, Missouri .
