Jonathan Lowell Thompson

FARMINGTON Jonathan Lowell Thompson of Farmington passed away September 20, 2021 in his home at the age of 62. He was born August 9, 1959 to the late Jessie Aliene (Johnson) Thompson and Everett Boyd Thompson, who survives. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Faye Thompson and an infant grandson, Jon Thompson, III. Jonathan was a 1977 graduate of Southwest High School in St. Louis and went on to Rankin Technical School where he learned the trade of HVAC. He owned and operated Thompson Heating and Cooling in the St. Louis area. Later in 2007 he had the opportunity to go to work in Pacific for the state of Missouri and later finished his career in Farmington. He was an avid collector of matchbox cars and had many. He was into gun safety and was a second amendment supporter. Jonathan had been a long time member of the Masonic Lodge #80 of Bridgeton. He had a crazy sense of humor and loved telling jokes and playing pranks. More than anything he loved his wife and his family. Survivors in addition to his father, he is survived by the love of his life, Donna; children, Yvette Thompson, Jonathan Thompson II and Erik Thompson; sisters, Charella Lavene Reichardt and Kay Thompson; thirteen grandchildren; nieces, nephews and extended family. Also, he is survived by the newest addition to the family, his 78 pound hound dog, Max. Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday morning at 7 a.m. until the service beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Deacon Mark Byington officiating.
