John Wright, Jr.

John Carrol Wright, Jr. of Farmington passed away September 7, 2015 at the age of 47. He was born October 2, 1967 to Ann (Boxdorfer) Ramsey and John Carrol Wright, Sr.. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Boxdorfer and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wright. John was a 1986 graduate of Farmington High School where he was a member of the football team. He went on to Missouri State University where he obtained an associate's degree in Science. He became a licensed practical nurse and worked at Cox Health Care with special needs children. A dedicated and competitive body builder he was, as well, an avid fisherman who also enjoyed hunting. His family will lovingly remember his sense of humor and his kind heart. Survivors include his parents, Ann (Tom) Ramsey and John Carrol Wright, Sr., sisters, Susannah (Brad) Holmes and Caroline Wright; two nieces, Carmen and Ellen Cantrell and one nephew, Kristopher Penuel; and two great nephews, Angelo and Josiah. He is also survived by many friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 10 from 3 4 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
