John Stacy

John Stacy, of Ste. Genevieve, passed away at home on February 1, 2015 at the age of 60. He was born in Clearwater on January 14, 1955 to the late Arley and Dorothy (Ballew) Stacy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kalob; two sisters, Wilma Ward and Beverly Stacy and one brother, James Stacy. John was an outdoorsman and enjoyed living in the country. He loved hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his family. He was employed in the sawmill and timber industry for many years. In his spare time John's hobbies included carpentry and "mechanicing". Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Nelda (Boyd) Stacy; four children, Doreen (Ken) Schneidler of Bowling Green, MO, Sarah (Jason) Donoho of Topeka, KS, Lucas Stacy and fiance, Courtney Rollett, of Perryville, MO, and Laura (Dan) Arnold of Farmington; five grandsons, Tim Davis, Dalton Miller, Jorden Donoho, Riley and Taren Arnold; one granddaughter, Jayden Donoho; six sisters, Mildred (Bill) Steffan, Margie (Deric) Boland, Shirley (Larry) Holland, Linda Thomas, Jeannie Madden and Katie (Lee) Hawthorn; two brothers, Jerry Stacy and Gerald (Christine) Stacy; father and mother-in-law, Jimmie and Rebecca Boyd; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family as well as many friends. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 - 8 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume Wednesday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Mayberry Cemetery in Avon.
