John J. Vuichard

BISMARCK John J. Vuichard, of Bismarck, entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2023, at his home at the age of 74. He was born on October 23, 1948, in Ironton, Missouri, to the late John C. and Lorraine P. (Politte) Vuichard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Carol" (Trokey) Vuichard who passed away May 7, 2022. John is survived by his brothers and sisters in law, Donnie and Vanessa Trokey of Farmington and Terry and Barb Sellers of Park Hills, his cousins, Joe and Donna Vuichard of Festus and Joe Brown of Bismarck, his nieces and nephews, Lucie, Sam, and Gracie, his best friend of many years, Mike Ward of Farmington, along with many other extended cousins, nieces, nephews, in laws, and friends. John was self employed as a home repairman and owned a pawn shop in Bismarck for many years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a fourth-degree member of Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father William Thess as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Potosi. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, 101 North Carleton, Farmington, MO 63640.
