John "J. D." Harter

John Daniel "JD" Harter, of Farmington passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007, at his residence, at the age of 74 years. He was born on September 29, 1932, at Ste. Genevieve County to the late Emmett and Annabel (Howell) Harter. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Loretta (Revelle) Harter, a son, Charles Keith Harter and wife Debbie Kay of Farmington, a daughter Debbie Sue Raymer of Farmington, four grandchildren, Becky Hall, Dan Raymer, Kevin Harter and Valerie Doran, two step grandchildren, Kristen Cooper and Craig Skorseth, two step-great-grandchildren, Brandon and Ryan Cooper, three brothers, Sam Harter and wife Imogene of Columbia, IL, Francis Harter and wife Margaret of Farmington, Dennis Harter and wife Nancy of Roselle, MO. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, with a Masonic service to be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church or Presbyterian Manor Hospice.
