John E. Helm Jr.

FARMINGTON John E. Helm, Jr., of Ste. Genevieve, entered into eternal rest on March 11, 2022, at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 48. He was born on September 28, 1973, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, the son of Kathryn and Hank Thilking. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Violet Thilking Hatfield, Viola and Harry Kennedy, Henry James Thilking, Sr., and Clarence and Viola Helm; an aunt Shirley Crabdree; an uncle, Ed Kennedy and his special cousin, Fred Thilking. John is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Kathy and Hank Thilking of Ste. Genevieve, his siblings, Dana (husband, Bruce) Keever, Shannon Alifonso, Shelia (husband, Jesse) Killian, Chris (wife, Desiree) Stamm, Renae (husband, Eric) Wehmeier, and Tricia (husband, JD) Thilking, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. John was a member of Genevieve Baptist Church where he loved his church family, loved the Lord and had amazing faith. He loved fishing, Dodge trucks, NASCAR, car shows, watching westerns and the Price Is Right and tinkering in the garage with his dad. He enjoyed going to Greater Heights with all his friends. He was also quite a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 7:00am until time of service at 11:00am in the Cozean Chapel officiated by Pastor Fred Killian.
